Been writing a lot....very cool ideas lately...finally found the sound for the solo stuff...so it begins...got one song done....I consider it some of the best stuff I have written so far...very personal...recording at home...learning a lot this way...hands on..the first song is all things...big moments...small orchestral moments...something personal but not too dark or too light...a very chill listenable vibe..I am so pleased....my lack of sleep is paying off somewhere...so the home recording has been a learning curve...I am sure it will always be...I am not a very technical guy recording wise but I would like to think I know what sounds and feels right...and this does...it took me months of messing around with song ideas to find a direction...months of turning knobs and pushing buttons to find sounds...I have all the instruments and tools that I need now and I am ready to move forward...this is a process that I expect to take a long time...I do not want to rush this...I will do everything at home...most of vocal stuff will be tracked at avalon recording studio I am sure...I figure I can record a rough of the voice at home and work on things...have all my harmonies and everything all done so I am on it when I enter the studio in many months I am sure to start tracking voice...I plan on doing the best I can mix wise at home...then letting Joe Butera master these to analog tape in Powerstation studio in Pompano Beach...mindlikewater and my other jam project are moving along...tracking voice on MLW stuff later tonight...hope my voice holds up for something...a verse...anything...off to write more solo stuff...
