So in the wee hours of the morning of October 25th...The new project..."The Air Apparent" 10am to 3am October 26th...It was a very long session at Avalon Recording Studio...with some of the best results period...I am very pleased with the sounds...We broke new ground and recorded all our guitar effects right then and there...we usually add effects after...reverb and delay were played as part of the sounds from the amp and a few pedals...multiple guitars were used including...My American Fender Strat, A Vintage Fender Mustang, an Eastwood Coronado, My Vintage Yamaha FG300 Acoustic, A Gibson Les Paul, An old Rickenbacker, and a Ernie Ball Stingray 5 string Bass Through a Road Ready Mesa Boogie 4x10 Bass Cab....wooh...a ton of gear...All was used through a variety of amps including...My Bogner Alchemist 2x12 Combo, Mesa Boogie Express 2x12 Combo, An Orange Rockerverb 2x12 Combo, A Vintage Fender Princeton 1x12, and a Marshall JCM 800 Head through a Carvin 2x12 Combo. Played through an Analog Man Overdrive on one part...Layered 3 guitars for a solo using an octave pedal through the Bogner, The Marshall on a high gain setting and The Zvex Fuzz Factory Pedal through the Bogner again...The guitars were stunning...Drums sounded great...James used Joe Butera's (Mindlikewater's Drummer) Premier kit...He got allt he tunes down in 2 takes each...Matt really had to spend some time getting the effects right on his guitars but man it was worth the work...turned out great.......Ryan Played most of his synth lines through the Nord Modular...A few piano parts...He also did some Tambourine...There was also a part where we all stomped and clapped...This was a very long session that went very very well...Paul Kronk ran controls...He did an excellent job...excited to get singing on this stuff and of course record more...off to bed...Finally...
