I feel I am in a great place in life. Therefor, I feel my music is the direct fruit of that. I am not thinking about how I can sell it. I will offer that option of course but this is not why I am making music. I am making music as an extension of myself and if people do not like it...it's not that you don't like me...you might just not be able to relate to my life at the present...I find that is true with many artists from the 90's these days...Smashing Pumpkins...NIN...Radiohead...It seems these bands are in new phases of life where fame is not the focus anymore...It has been for a long time though. Some people are able to see that things change. Others find comfort in the recorded music of their childhood because it never changes. When you are in your teens...you don't think about what music you will listen to in your adult years...but I find a lot of it is still with me...and I enjoy the new music many of those bands are still creating. I am a music teacher and I don't get that many of the kids listening to hardcore or screamo or whatever will be listening to much if any of the music they are listening to now. I see these kids wanting new...wanting more and they certainly have the tools to find it for themselves...but at the end of the day...word of mouth rules...their friends still say hey....check out this band...and while that flame may only last for a teenage minute...it got through immediately...so then...if you feel something...and that something is a piece of art or music...tell someone...it still works...
