I am feeling very positive. New focus brings new music. Closing the door on some old ways of thinking. Ready for new. Selling off gear I don't need and starting fresh with new and exciting instruments and noise makers. Getting rid of things in general. Clutter is not welcome in my life anymore. No need for a hundred pound organ taking up an entire room or three distortion pedals that do the same thing. I got a new synth at goodwill for 5$ the other day. A new analog drum machine on the way. Already making new music with my 5 dollar synth while I am finishing up my first more organic sounding solo EP. Starting to mix solo stuff and D_composure stuff. The end of 2009 I said I would have a release with each of my projects for 2010. Seems that I will way out do that goal. Mindlikewater- The Cranes EP is out now. D_composure begins mixing a new untitled EP on Sunday. I am writing like crazy for solo stuff. At least 2 EPs in the works that will be released in 2010 for sure. Shows are not really the focus these days. Though I am sure I will be bitten by the bug here after a few more months of recording. I am loving recording at home and bringing the music I create into the studio environment to make it all cohesive. In site news...I linked my video section on the Joseph Beaty dot com site to the official you tube page. I guess it is where people want to see it anyhow. I really want my site to feel personal. Hence, the blog on the front and the links there is you wish to check them out. Nothing in your face. Just a reflection of me and that is that. New studio videos will be up soon. I am also going to be linking the music page to a better interface to download and purchase music. Much like the D_composure dot com page. Stay tuned.
